Transylvania boasts numerous medieval towns, modern cities, spas, quaint villages, vineyards and a wealth of historic attractions. The region is also home to one of the richest and best-preserved collection of Turkish carpets outside the Islamic world.

Led by Alberto Boralevi and Stefano Ionescu, authors of the Antique Ottoman Rugs in Transylvania book, this unique tour will give travelers the opportunity to discover the Land Beyond the Forest, as well as learn about the craft and history of some 350 Ottoman rugs dating from as early as the 15th century.

The tour includes visits to the art museums in Bucharest, Brasov and Sibiu, the Castles and Fortified Churches of Transylvania, the medieval towns of Sighisoara, Sebes, Medias as well as many other attractions.
