Festival of Traditional Dance and Music (“Nu va uitati ca-s micut”)
The local youth folk ensembles perform traditional songs and dances dressed in their colorful costumes. While in Budesti, you can visit the two 15th century wood churches - Susani dating from 1595, and Josani dating from 1643 - where you can admire a unique collection of wooden icons painted on both sides, which are often sent to be displayed at exhibitions all over the world.

This musical tradition started in 1982, when France hosted the first edition of the Festival. Today, on the 21st of June of every year, free concerts are offered by both amateur and professional musicians in more than 100 countries around the world. Several of Romania’s cities will join in this tradition. In Bucharest, music lovers can enjoy six days of performances with more than 28 concerts featuring all musical genres. There will be evening performances in venues such as: Arcub Concert Hall, Romanian Athenaeum, Museum of the Romanian Peasant, Green Hours Jazz Club and La Motoare Pub.

The Wreath of Flowers is a summer custom that takes place on Saint Peter and Saint Paul’s day. The presence of flowers and rich vegetation brings hope for a great harvest at the end of the season. The celebrations include a traditional hora (Romanian circle dance).
