The biggest building in Romania and the second in the world, after Pentagon. Known also under the name of Casa Poporului (People's House), as Ceausescu named it like this when he launched its construction. It was supposed to shelter all the institutions of the comunist state.
With a height of 84m (252 feet) and covering 16 ha (together with it's park), the Palace of Parliament shelters today the Chamber of Deputies, a conference center and two museums. The central balcony offers a unique view fo Bucharest.
